Buyer #100 will still likely want to look at house #99 to see if there are any tweaks he would like to make, but in general the end product is known.Alex Armstronghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07138129359525206089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-615164661617872893.post-10952691324309224632013-03-11T04:02:57.661-07:002013-03-11T04:02:57.661-07:00This is pretty good blog because I read your lots ...This is pretty good blog because I read your lots of articles which have some awesome stuff regarding Program Development Company
.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08022163110572472174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-615164661617872893.post-19283307056884933312013-03-07T09:06:45.321-08:002013-03-07T09:06:45.321-08:00By the completion of a tract of 100 essentially id...By the completion of a tract of 100 essentially identical suburban homes, the design's pretty well debugged, and construction #100 looks pretty BDUF. And when the developer takes the plan to another site and builds 100 more, those all look pretty BDUF, too. But way back at houses #1-5, there's a BD, all right, but there's also a lot of learning and tweaking.Jack Repenninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04482657067285473721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-615164661617872893.post-34499920733273612722013-02-26T06:55:10.195-08:002013-02-26T06:55:10.195-08:00Thanks for the comment, @Yves! I'm being careful with the generalizations as there are often exceptions, but I believe BDUF is fairly common in single-resident house construction where there is plenty of opportunity for repetition. I wouldn't suspect the same opportunities for repetition in large construction projects, which is why I am guessing Mary received the response she did.Alex Armstronghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07138129359525206089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-615164661617872893.post-44568837890391945402013-02-26T03:48:56.059-08:002013-02-26T03:48:56.059-08:00It's not even true for building houses.
Marry ...It's not even true for building houses.
Marry Poppendieck a lean coach, went to a training given to PM from large building projects, to learn about how do they do it. And they lauched when she asked them. They don't build large building with BDUFYveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01508021419355652328noreply@blogger.com
